These six South Metro Denver hospitals and medical centers generously donate inpatient and outpatient services from their laboratories, pharmacies and a residency program. Doctors Care educates patients visiting our partner hospitals on proper use of medical care and emergency departments. Chief administrators of these six hospitals serve on our board of directors and encourage their physicians to participate in the Doctors Care program to provide a wide range of affordable specialty care to uninsured patients.
Serving the community since 1975, Community First Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life in the seven-county metropolitan community. They use their resources to fund vital community initiatives, support nonprofit organizations, and assist individuals with charitable giving. In addition, they help donors support charitable causes through planned giving and Donor Advised Funds, and by offering grants, fund management and fundraising education.
ColoradoGives.org is an extension of the Community First Foundation, and is a program of their Nonprofit Preservation Initiative, which was launched in 2004 to preserve the future of Colorado nonprofits. Their goal is to make donating to local charities an easier and more informed experience for donors. By offering comprehensive, objective and up-to-date information about nonprofits, they have helped to heighten awareness online and raised over $35 million in 2014 for 1,784 Colorado nonprofit organizations.
Arapahoe County’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of residents through exceptional delivery of services and efficient use of public funds. One avenue to fulfill this mission is the Aid to Agencies program. The grant program focuses the County’s limited resources on behavioral and mental health, homelessness, seniors and domestic violence services. Each year, the County Board of Commissioners approves more than 20 applications in these areas, in amounts ranging from $10,000 to $300,000 per grant. Arapahoe County also supports the community through Community Development Block Grants, job training and apprenticeship programs, food assistance and many other initiatives designed to improve the quality of life for all County residents.
Thank you to all the organizations that help Doctors Care complete its mission!
