Bebe Kleinman Addresses Uninsured Rate with the Denver Post

Doctors Care is seeing a rise in the number of uninsured patients following the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency. During the public health emergency, states suspended the process of making Medicaid recipients prove they still had incomes low enough to qualify. Currently, Medicaid recipients must submit paperwork to continue receiving their benefits. Since the public health emergency ended, half a million Coloradans have lost Medicaid coverage due to not returning paperwork or otherwise failing to complete the process.
