Dr. Katie Lozano is a career-long advocate for patients in her practice and in medical and radiological organizations at local, state, and national levels. She was recently President of the Colorado Medical Society, and currently serves on the American Medical Association (AMA) Radiology Section Council Executive Committee. She previously chaired the AMA Young Physicians Section and the American College of Radiology (ACR) Resident and Fellow Section, served on the ACR Ethics Committee for over a decade, and received the AMA Foundation’s Excellence in Medicine Leadership Award. She serves on the board of directors of her practice-based groundbreaking charitable organization which has a mission to make diagnostic imaging accessible to patients in unserved and underserved regions throughout the world. As a medical student, Dr. Lozano co-directed and volunteered at a free clinic staffed by medical students. Now, as a radiologist with Virtual Radiologic, a national emergency teleradiology company, she is honored to serve another year as Chair of the Doctors Care Board of Directors.
