In 2021, Darcy graduated from University of Colorado Boulder with her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Spanish. She then worked on the therapy team at an inpatient psychiatric hospital in Denver for two years, and gained extensive experience with crisis management, crisis stabilization, de-escalation, and case management. Her priority at the hospital was establishing patients with continued mental health services after their discharge. Being bilingual has allowed her to provide mental health services for the extensive Spanish-speaking community in Colorado. Darcy is an advocate for increasing awareness of the mental health struggles that affect more than 700 million individuals in the world and is passionate about eradicating the stigmas attached to mental health. There is a growing shortage of mental health professionals in the U.S., and she hopes her work can help close that gap. Working with Doctors Care allows Darcy to continue her efforts to ensure everyone has access to quality mental health support.
